Freedom Microwave, Inc. was founded in 2005 by a group of individuals with extensive experience in the design and manufacture of RF and Microwave Filters and Multiplexers. Since its inception, Freedom Microwave, Inc. has aspired to become a leading supplier of filter technology to the Commercial, Wireless, Space and Military communications industries. Freedom Microwave has expertise with designs utilizing lumped element, distributed, transmission line and waveguide design techniques covering the 30 KHz to 40 GHz frequency spectrum.

All of Freedom Microwave's products, regardless of application, are subjected to the same demanding design, manufacturing, and inspection standards. Freedom Microwave will continually strive to meet these goals, knowing that our success is directly related to the success of our customers.

Extensive computer aided design and analysis software, some of which is company proprietary, is used to analyze and optimize all designs prior to manufacturing. The accuracy of this software reduces development time and ensures that all quoted specifications will be met. Once the electrical and mechanical designs have been completed, the CAD mechanical drawing files are downloaded to CNC machining centers for fabrication in Freedom Microwave's in-house machine shop.

Freedom Microwave promotes an environment where all employees are encouraged to suggest product improvements and identify any imperfection. Program management software is utilized to ensure that all products are specification compliant and delivered on time. To ensure reliability, all Freedom Microwave components undergo high temperature, pre-conditioning stabilization bakes, and are then final tested on a 100% basis. Freedom Microwave's Quality System is based on ISO9001:2015 while deriving key elements from the requirements of MIL-Q-9858 and MIL-I-45208. This system has been devised to ensure that our final product is of the highest quality and reliability for both military and commercial customers.

Freedom Microwave currently occupies a modern production and R&D facility in Marriottsville, Maryland. The two buildings, with a total of over 3,000 square feet, are located approximately 25 minutes west and south of the Baltimore/Washington International Airport. All engineering, research and development, manufacturing and test functions are housed within this facility.

The machine Shop is equipped with CNC machining centers. This precise computer controlled machinery allows Freedom Microwave to easily maintain or exceed the tolerances necessary to make even the most sensitive designs highly repeatable. The speed and accuracy of CNC machinery also reduces engineering development time and provides for a quick transition from the first working prototype to full-scale production.

An extensive Engineering and Research Laboratory, equipped with the latest design verification and test equipment, is available for First Article and Qualification Testing. Computer controlled microwave test stations are in place for the accurate measurement of amplitude, phase, time side lobe and group delay parameters. The production test lab is equipped  network analyzers and support equipment which cover the frequency range of 30 KHz to 40 GHz. Environmental chambers are used to confirm compliance with temperature and humidity specifications. A passive intermodulation test station, capable of accurately measuring the most stringent customer requirements, is also available.
