Receiver multicouplers are used to feed more than one receiver from a single antenna. With the use of a receiver multicoupler, a net gain is typically realized at each receiver port, while the signal to noise ratio is minimized. Freedom Microwave offers receiver multicouplers for both analog and digital communications systems that are easily expandable to 32 channels. Generally, they include 'preselecting filter', low noise amplifier and a power splitter. Multicouplers can be designed to be integrated within the basestation or as a stand alone subsystem to connect with the basestation at the cellsite.
